A note from Emily...

"Hello All! I hope you are all having a wonderful spring and are
taking awesome photos outside with blooming flowers and such for our
calendar!! (hint!)
In an effort to make communicating with you much more efficient, I
will be using the Henan Kids Blog (www.henankids.blogspot.com
) almost entirely for announcements, etc. Before we had the blog,
it would take me up to 4+ hours to create the newsletter, convert it
to pdf file, and then email it to over 500 people (I had to
individually select each and every single person's email in order to
send it). And with 5 kids, homeschooling, and just life in general,
this was just not working. However, with the blog, it may only take
me 5 minutes to put up a quick announcement- or a detailed post with
pictures may take 20-30 minutes- tops. I hope y'all understand! And
this will also mean less email for you all to contend with as well.
If you would like to be involved with HKI as far as announcements,
projects, fundraisers, pictures, connecting with other families, I
strongly encourage you to go there now and bookmark it. Sometimes I
only post once a week, other times (like this week!) it may be 7!!!
But check in every few days or once a week and look at the posts.
Yesterday I posted a letter from Josh Zhong, head of CCAI- he
emailed it to me early to share with you on the blog. We have LOTS
of projects needing funding (especially Zhengzhou and ZhouKou
families!!!) - and all the pictures and updates will now be only on
the blog. We are currently having a fundraiser with 31 Gifts- we
have already raised $159-- if you'd like to shop for a cause- follow

I will continue to mass email everyone when important things are
coming (like calendar sales, new fundraiser) but all reminders and
details will be on the blog. I hope you all have a wonderful week!"
